The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride, Rome
The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride is a fundraising event in Rome, Georgia, held to raise funds for Rome GA Pride, a nonprofit supporting the local LGBTQIA+ community. The event includes a USATF-certified 5K course that follows the Oostanaula River Trails and a separate 1 Mile Pride Stride fun run/walk. A "Ghost Runner" option allows supporters to contribute without attending in person.

Event features include chip timing by Wire2Wire Running using RFID technology, awards for multiple 5K categories (overall, masters, grandmasters, age groups, and nonbinary divisions), and no awards for the 1 Mile Pride Stride, which is presented as a fun run/walk. Participants receive post-race muffins provided by Sunshine Bakery. Packet pickup is available the day before at GoGo Running, and parking is available near the start/finish area at Ridge Ferry Park (Dog Park side, north of the railroad tracks). Registration fees are listed for pre-registration and day-of options for both the 5K and the 1 Mile; a shirt size is guaranteed if registration is completed by March 11.
