Event overview
The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride is scheduled for March 21, 2026 in Rome, Georgia. The event is a fundraiser for Rome GA Pride, a nonprofit that directs funds to the local LGBTQIA+ community. The program includes a race, a one-mile fun run/walk, and a remote support option called "GHOST RUNNER" for people who want to support the cause but cannot attend in person. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by March 11, 2026.

Location, course and logistics
The event place is 363 Riverside Pkwy NE, Rome, GA 30161. The 5K course is USATF-certified and follows the Oostanaula River Trails. Parking is available near the start/finish area at Ridge Ferry Park (dog park side, north of railroad tracks). Pre-race packet pickup and shirt pickup are available at GoGo Running in Rome the day before the event. The event is held rain or shine.
Timing, awards and results
The 5K will be chip-timed using RFID technology by Wire2Wire Running, LLC and results will be posted after the race. Awards for the 5K include top overall, masters, grandmasters, age-group winners and nonbinary category winners. There are no awards for the 1 Mile Pride Stride.
