Turtle Crawl, Jekyll Island
The Turtle Crawl is an annual fundraising race held on Jekyll Island, Georgia, on May 1, 2027. The event supports the Georgia Sea Turtle Center through the Jekyll Island Foundation and benefits sea turtle rehabilitation, research, and education. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center has cared for more than 3,000 patients, and Turtle Crawl participants have raised over $100,000 for the center.
The event offers multiple participation options and includes a 2027 Turtle Crawl t-shirt with registration. Participants who place in their age group receive a medal. Pets are not allowed to run or walk in any of the events. A virtual option, called Ghost Crawler, is available; t-shirt delivery for virtual participants may be delayed by mail or production.

- 10K race with an online fee of $40 and a race day fee of $65
- 5K race with an online fee of $30 and a race day fee of $55
- Fun Run (1K) with an online fee of $25 and a race day fee of $35
- Ghost Crawler (Virtual) with an online fee of $40
Online registration opens May 1, 2026. To guarantee a race t-shirt size, online registration must be completed by April 16, 2027. The deadline to switch races online is April 27, 2027.
