2026 Turkey Tumble for Autism Half
The event offers three distances along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path in Georgetown and at Fletcher’s Boathouse. Distances are organized as out-and-back courses on a light gravel trail with minimal elevation change; the half marathon runs on a light gravel dirt road.
Distances
- 5K out-and-back on the C&O Canal path, light gravel flat trail.
- 10K out-and-back once on the same flat canal trail.
- Half Marathon out-and-back on the C&O Canal, light gravel with minimal elevation change.
Points from this event count toward the 5k, 10k, Endurance and Back of the Pack Series, and they also count toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. The event partners with the Organization for Autism Research.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timed results. Live results are posted online and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Runner tracking via SMS is available during registration.
Water stations and facilities are provided: the half marathon has seven water stations at approximate mile markers, the 10k has three stations, and the 5k has one; some stations will offer Gatorade. Port-a-johns are available near the Georgetown check-in; restrooms are available in the building at Fletcher’s Boathouse. There is no official bag check and there will be no on-site race registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
