About the race
The FAOA Army Navy Game 5k and 10k is an annual run hosted by the Foreign Area Officer Association and organized by Bishops Events at Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria, VA on December 12. The event includes both in-person and virtual participation options.

The event awards series points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, chip timing, and post-run refreshments. T-shirt orders are guaranteed for runners registered before December 3; extra shirts are available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis and sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrations.
The course at Ben Brenman Park is a fairly flat paved route; the 10k follows the out-and-back twice. Water stations are placed along the courses at approximate mile markers: the 10k has stations near miles 1.55, 3.1 and 4.65; the 5k has a station near mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the park.
Results are posted live on Athlinks with a race QR code and final results with series points are published after the event. Awards include top three men and women overall and first and second in standard age categories. The event supports service members and their families serving internationally. Banditing is not allowed and the organizer follows an all-weather policy with potential changes communicated to registrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
