2026 The FAOA Army Navy Game 5k & 10k
The Foreign Area Officer Association (FAOA) hosts the second annual Army Navy Game running event at Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria, VA. The event offers two measured distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The course is described as fairly flat and paved. The 10 km route is an out-and-back course completed twice. Water stations are placed along the courses: three stations on the 10 km at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65, and one station on the 5 km at about mile marker 1.55; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the park.
All participants receive a commemorative finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 3; sizes for race day registrants cannot be guaranteed. Packet pickup is available at the event, and race day registration will be offered. Registration fees are listed with early and later rates: 5k $30 until November 30 (then $35) and 10k $45 until November 30 (then $50). Prices increase by $5 on race morning.
The event counts points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual run option is available. Live results will be posted during the race and final results with series points are published on the Monday after the event. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age categories; overall top three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
