Event details
The 2025 Army v Navy 5k is scheduled for December 6 at the National Museum of the United States Army in Fort Belvoir, VA. Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and the Fall Series. Participants may sign up to represent either the United States Army or the United States Navy. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and electronic chip timing. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Overall top-3 finishers are not eligible to also win age-group awards. The event supports the Army Historical Foundation and the Navy Development Museum Foundation.
Logistics and course
The 5k course begins at the museum’s farthest parking lot and uses the paved multi-purpose path for an out-and-back route to the intersection of Route 1 and the Fairfax County Parkway. One water station is located at approximately mile 1.55. Portajohns are provided near the start/finish.
Parking is available at the National Museum of the United States Army (1775 Liberty Dr.). The museum property is publicly accessible and does not require military identification. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations before Nov 19. Registration fee for the 5k is $30 until Nov 15, then $35; the price increases by $5 on race morning.
