About the race
The Army v Navy 5k is a community road race held at the National Museum of the United States Army in Fort Belvoir, Virginia on December 12. Points earned at this event count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Fall Series. The course begins in the museum's farthest parking lot and uses a paved multi-purpose path on an out-and-back route to the intersection of Route 1 and the Fairfax County Parkway. Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and the event is chip timed.
A virtual race option is offered for those who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are welcome. One water station is provided along the 5k at about mile 1.55. Portajohns are available near the start and finish area.
Live race results will be posted on Athlinks and a QR code will be available at the race for immediate result access; final results with series points are posted the Monday following the race. Awards include the top three men and women overall and first and second place male and female in standard age groups from 19 and under through 70 plus. T shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before November 24. Parking is available at the museum and the site is publicly accessible without military identification.
