About the race
Assam Foundation of North America (AFNA) presents a community Walk & Run event in Katy, Texas, held at Mary Jo Peckham Park on 11/21/2026. This is the second annual Houston edition held in memory of a community member. Funds raised will be donated to AFNA’s disaster relief fund to support large-scale rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by recent floods in Upper Assam.
The event includes separate age categories and scheduled on-site activities. Check-in is planned before the event and a post-walk breakfast and celebration are part of the program. Registration fees differ by category.

- 5 km for participants older than 13 years
- 5 miles for participants aged 6 to 13 years
