Scenic River Trail Races
The Double Turkey event takes place at the Turkey Bend Recreation Area in Marble Falls, Texas. Participants can choose between two race distances hosted along the banks of the Colorado River:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The course is designed to feature the natural landscapes of the region, including riverbanks and diverse ecosystems. The terrain consists of a mix of single-track trails, dirt paths, and occasional technical sections. Runners will encounter a moderate elevation profile that includes various climbs and descents.
The event follows eco-friendly practices by utilizing sustainable materials and waste reduction methods to minimize the environmental footprint on the natural habitats. Support is provided throughout the race with fully stocked aid stations offering hydration, nutrition, and medical assistance. All participants who complete their respective distances receive a custom finisher medal. The races are organized by the Fit Foundation and are open to runners of various abilities through individual age group and open registration categories.
