Turkey Trot - Greater Bellingham Running Club
The GBRC Turkey Trot is a community 5K fun run/walk held in Bellingham with all net proceeds benefiting the Bellingham Food Bank. The event starts at Squalicum Creek Park (1001 Squalicum Way, Bellingham). The course is an open course with sections on the road and two road crossings; monitors will stop participants for passing cars. There is a 90 minute time limit for the course.
Strollers and children may participate but must be accompanied by an adult. Well behaved dogs on a leash (maximum 6 ft lead) are allowed; aggressive dogs will be asked to leave at the race director's discretion and owners are responsible for disposal of dog waste.
Timing is chip based and managed by Pacific Multisports. Each entrant receives a bib with a chip on the back; bibs should be worn on the front and remain visible. A course map is provided by the organizers.
Registration details for the 2025 event include an open date of September 26, 2025 at 8:00 am and a close date of November 21, 2025 at 8:00 pm. There are no race day registrations. Entry fees are: GBRC members free; non-members age 13 and up $20 pre-race; non-members 12 and under free.
Awards include prizes for the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers and random prize drawings. Winners will be announced and may pick up awards in the pavilion after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
