Santa 5K at Cordata - City of Bellingham
The Santa 5K is a themed community footrace held at Cordata Community Park and Julianna Park in Bellingham. The event offers a single distance of 5K and welcomes participants to run, skip, or walk the course. Costumes are encouraged but not required; the organizer notes costumes "enhance the experience by 28.5%." All participants receive a one-size-fits-most Santa hat.
The event date is Saturday, December 19, 2026. Entry fees are tiered: November 1–28: $15; November 29–December 17: $25. Kids 12 and under are $10; children who roll are free. The program is non-refundable and ID is required at check-in.
Packet pick-up is available early on December 18 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Fairhaven Runners and Walkers, with late packet pick-up at Cordata Park (4510 Cordata Parkway). Course maps and a PDF map are provided online. Timing is handled by Pacific Multisports using pre-inserted timing chips and mats for automatic start and finish detection; real-time results are published as the race proceeds.
Divisions are Male, Female, and Non-Binary with multiple age groups from 10 and under up through 70+. Awards are given to the top three in each gender category and age division. Sponsors include WECU, Fairhaven Runners, and Cascadia Daily News. Parking is available in designated areas at Cordata Park; leashed dogs are permitted.
