About the race
The Santa 5K at Cordata is a community 5-kilometre event held on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at Cordata Community Park (4510 Cordata Parkway). The course runs around Cordata and Julianna Park. The event is family friendly and includes a costume contest, hot cocoa, and seasonal games.
All participants receive a Santa hat and are noted on the event Nice List. Registration fees vary by date: $15 through November 14, $25 from November 15 through December 17. Youth pricing is available: Kids 12 and under pay $10, and children who roll are free. Packet pick-up is available the day before at Fairhaven Runners and Walkers and there is a late packet pick-up at the Cordata Park Pavilion on race day. The event uses chip timing provided by a third-party timing company and posts live and final results online.
Awards include prizes for the overall top three in Male, Female, and Non-binary divisions, ribbons for top finishers in each age and gender division, and additional draw prizes distributed at the awards ceremony. Divisions include Male, Female, and Non-binary with age groups from 10 and under up through 70 plus. Parking at Cordata Park is limited; participants are asked to use designated parking, consider alternative transport, and respect neighbors. Well behaved dogs on leash are permitted on site.
