Marquette Turkey Trot 2026
The Marquette Turkey Trot is a fundraising event for the MSHS Orchestra that offers two out-and-back courses starting at the MSHS Canopy Entrance and following the paved bike path.
The course follows the bike path toward Tourist Park, which serves as the turnaround for the 5 km course. The 10 km course continues past Tourist Park toward the ore dock before Presque Isle, then returns the same way. The event is not officially timed; participants are encouraged to use a personal watch if they want to record their time.
Race shirts are long sleeve t-shirts featuring a logo designed by an MSHS student. Dogs are welcome and will be recognized for the fastest finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km events. Walkers are welcome to register for the 5 km Turkey Trot Run/Walk; the 10 km is restricted to runners.
Registration information by event:
- 5 km Turkey Trot Run/Walk, walkers welcome
- 10 km Run, runners only
Registration opens in October and closes on 2026-11-24. The registration fee for each event is $10.00. The event location is 1203 W. Fair Avenue, Marquette, MI. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
