Event Overview
The Candy Cane Course is a holiday-themed running event held at Towl Park in Omaha. Distance Options
Participants can choose from several different race distances:
- Kids Dash: A 50m untimed event for children ages 10 and under.
- 1 Mile: An untimed walk or run including a custom bib and shirt.
- 5k: A chip-timed 3.1-mile race with live results and awards.
- 10k: A chip-timed 6.2-mile race with live results and awards.
- 15k: A chip-timed 9.3-mile race with live results and awards.
Amenities and Participation
The event features specialized participant packages based on the chosen distance. Those registered for the 5k, 10k, or 15k receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. The untimed 1 Mile participants also receive these items. For the Kids Dash, registered participants receive a youth-sized shirt and a specifically crafted medal, though children may participate in the dash for free if they do not require the commemorative items.
The finish line area provides treats for participants, and free professional photos are taken during the event. To ensure the availability of the specific shirt size, registration must be completed at least two weeks before the race date.
