Event overview
Turkey Shuffle - Austin takes place on Saturday, November 28, 2026, in Austin, TX (78654) at Flat Creek Estate Winery & Vineyard. The race is presented by Bigfoot Running Company and is part of a series in the Texas Hill Country. The event features music from DJ Sasquatch, aid stations on course for water, snacks and refreshments at the race rally tent, and a costume contest with a "Biggest Turkey" trophy. The costume prize pack includes a certificate for two free future races, a $25 HEB gift card, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack. All finishers receive a medal and a shirt.
Race details and logistics
Distances and event format:
- Kids Dash - about 50 meters, for children 10 and under, not timed.
- 1 Mile - not chip timed; includes tee shirt and race medal.
- 5K (3.11 miles) - chip timed; age group awards and 1st overall trophies M/F.
- 10K (6.22 miles) - chip timed; two laps of the 5K course; 1st overall Bigfoot trophies M/F.
The 5K and 10K have standard age-group awards and masters recognition pins. A Volunteer then Run 5K option and a Virtual Run are also offered. Course surfaces include mixed dirt paths and grass; difficult paths will be avoided. Packet pickup is offered and any additional pickup options will be communicated by email at least one week before the race. Full race volunteers earn a Bigfoot race shirt, a souvenir race medal (subject to availability), VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 digital gift card.
