Turkey Day 8K, 5K Trot & 3K Family Fun Run : Missoula
This event on November 26, 2026 takes place at the University of Montana Campus Recreation lot and includes multiple distances for participants of all ages.

The 8K and 5K are timed events with chip timing. The 3K is untimed and free for all ages, but all 3K participants must register. Ages 13 and under are free for the timed events; ages 14–18 have a reduced fee of $10. Entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable per the race waiver and cancellation policy.
Swag for timed participants includes a custom Turkey Day bib and an exclusive BOCO winter hat; 3K participants may purchase BOCO hats for a stated price in limited quantities. Bib pickup is available the day before at Run Wild Missoula headquarters and on race morning near the start line.
All courses begin at the same location; the 8K route first follows the 3K loop and then continues on. There are no aid stations. Per event policy, dogs are not allowed except ADA service animals on a non-retractable leash of six feet or less. Strollers are not permitted in the 5K.
The event supports the Missoula Food Bank; Run Wild Missoula will match $1 for every pound of non-perishable food donated, up to $1,250. In a prior year the event contributed $13,000 to the food bank. Awards in the 8K recognize the overall top three female, male and non-binary finishers with Thanksgiving food items.
