Event overview
The Light the Way 5k takes place at Fort Missoula Regional Park in Missoula, MT on Saturday, December 20, 2025. The event includes a main 5k and a separate free Kid's half-mile fun run.

The evening run features a 5k course lined with luminaires and holiday music. Finish-line refreshments include cookies, candy canes, and hot cocoa. The event offers chip timing, a custom race bib, an ugly sweater contest, and an awards ceremony for the top three men and top three women. Participants can meet and take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Entry, packet pickup and parking
Registration is priced at $30 for the early period and $35 during the race-day period. The Kid's half-mile run is free; its registration closes on race day, December 20, 2025.
Race-day packet pickup is available at the Runner's Edge Basement earlier in the day and again at Fort Missoula Regional Park before the race.
