Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - New Orleans, LA

This event is a community 5K run and walk held in the New Orleans area with a listed address of 808 MacArthur Avenue, Harvey, LA and finish line festivities at the Gretna ferry landing. The event honors the life and actions of a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 and aims to support first responders and military personnel.

The course is a 5K (3.1 miles) and welcomes both walkers and runners. Registration categories include adult, first responders and military, youth (13 to 17 years) and child (12 and under), each with a separate entry fee. Day of registration remains available.

Logistics and race procedures include packet pickup on October 29, 30, and 31 at Rivershack Restaurant, 714 First Street, Gretna, and packet pick-up on race day at the finish area. A packet may be collected by another person if they present a copy of the registrant’s receipt. Parking is available at the finish area and buses will provide transportation to the start area on race morning. This edition is not a timed event. Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment; those without a bib will be removed from the course. Water stations will be available along the route and at the finish.

Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are permitted and encouraged. Bicycles, roller blades and pets are not permitted.
