Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - New Orleans, LA
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in the New Orleans area takes place on 11/01/2026 in Harvey, LA (808 MacArthur Avenue, 70058). The event honors a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11, 2001 and supports first responders and military personnel.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and participants may walk or run. For this year the event will not be timed. Bibs must be displayed on the front of the outermost garment; participants without a bib will be asked to leave the course and will not be allowed to finish.

- First responders and military registration : $20.00
- Youth registration (13 to 17 years) : $10.00
- Child registration (12 and under) : $5.00
Logistics noted for participants include ample parking at the finish area and bus transportation to the start area on race morning. Water stations will be available along the route and at the finish. Strollers, wheelchairs, firefighter turnout gear, and military backpacks are permitted; bicycles, roller blades, and pets are not permitted on the course. Packet pick-up is scheduled October 29–31 at the finish area of the Rivershack Restaurant, 714 First Street, Gretna, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM; packet pick-up and registration will also be available on race day at the finish line festivities area. Festivities will be located by the finish line at the Gretna ferry landing.
Donations and fundraising are supported; donations will be accepted for six weeks after the event. The registration fee does not count toward online fundraising goals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
