The New Orleans Ultramarathon and Half
The event takes place in New Orleans on October 24, 2026 and offers multiple road race distances that use city streets and public venues. The course is an open course with roads remaining open to traffic; participants are asked to use caution at intersections. Course navigation includes spray painted arrows, a posted course map on Strava, and turn by turn instructions provided in an Excel file. Registered runners receive the Strava route by email and may receive minor last minute updates.

Start locations differ by distance: the 50K and 50 mile races begin at Jackson Square on Decatur Street, while the half marathon begins at Louisiana Running + Walking Co at 4153 Canal Street. All distances finish at Second Line Brewing, 433 N Bernadotte St, New Orleans LA 70119.
Packet pickup is at Louisiana Running + Walking Co (4153 Canal St) on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm; swag bags not picked up can be collected at the finish. Aid stations will offer indoor or porta potty access and a range of supplies including gels, electrolyte mixes, Gatorade, soda, sunscreen, feminine hygiene products, basic first aid, snacks, and fruit. Drop bags are allowed and will be available at the 50K finish.
The event offers a $500 prize for any participant who sets a new course record. Cutoff times are listed for each distance and aid stations will close at those cutoff times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
