The New Orleans Ultramarathon and Half
The event in New Orleans, LA offers multiple distances and finishes at Second Line Brewing (433 N Bernadotte St). Runners follow marked streets through the city on an open course where roads will not be closed to traffic.
Distances offered:
- 50 mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
Course navigation is provided via a Strava route sent after registration, with turn by turn instructions available in Excel format. The course is also marked with spray painted arrows at most intersections. Because the course is open to traffic, runners are advised to use caution at busy intersections. Route updates may be issued closer to race day.
Aid stations will offer gels, electrolyte mixes, sports drinks, cola products, sunscreen, basic first aid, feminine hygiene products, candy, chips, crackers and fruit. Note exceptions: aid station 1 will be fruit and water only, and aid station 2 has no bathrooms. Aid stations will include either indoor restrooms or porta potties unless noted otherwise.
Packet pickup is at Louisiana Running + Walking Co (4153 Canal St) on Friday 10/23/26 from 12:30pm to 6pm. If a registrant cannot attend packet pickup, bib pickup is available race morning and swag bags can be collected at the finish. Drop bags may be left at packet pickup or the start and will be available at the 50K finish.
Top three male and female finishers in each distance will receive a handmade award created by a local artist, and all finishers receive a custom finisher medal by a local artist. A post-race party at Second Line Brewing will include awards, additional swag pickup, food and beverages provided for runners. A mid-race aid station at Louisiana Running Company, near mile 15, serves as a meetup and offers extra food and beverages for crew and friends.
The race offers a $500 prize for any participant who sets a new course record, subject to time verification. Pacers are permitted under the event rules. All sales are final; refunds, transfers and deferrals are not offered. Cutoff times are listed for each distance and aid stations close at their posted cutoffs.
Parking information notes street parking near the French Quarter and paid lots on Peters Street, and parking at the finish area along St Louis Street by the train tracks. For the Half Marathon, neighborhood street parking is available near Louisiana Running Company. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
