The event is timed and includes awards, with many awards focused on participants who run in service gear. A water station will be available along the route and water will be provided at the start and finish area. Emergency medical services will be on site and radio communication will be available along the course. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted, and firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are allowed. Personal items should be stored securely at the owner’s risk. Registration fees do not count toward fundraising totals, donations are accepted after the event for a set period, registrations may be transferred to another person, and refunds are not provided.
