Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Huntsville, AL
This event is a community 5K run and walk held in Huntsville on November 7, 2026 at 851 John Wright Drive. The course is marked at 1 mile, 2 miles and 3 miles. Water is provided at the start and finish area and at a station near 1.5 miles along the route. An Emergency Medical Service team will be on site and radio communication is available on course.
Registration opens July 22, 2026. Registration categories and fees include Adult ($25), First Responders & Military ($20), Youth 13 to 17 ($10), Child 12 and under ($5), and an employer specific category listed with no fee. Some categories have earlier closing dates while the employer specific category remains open later. Day of registration is offered the morning of the event but shirts and timing for late registrants are not guaranteed.
Packet pickup takes place at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Police Department front lobby on November 5 and 6 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at the pickup location the morning of the event. Bibs must be displayed on the front of outer garments. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in adult, youth and children divisions, and to the top firefighter, police officer and military runner in uniform.
Participants may bring strollers and wheelchairs; firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are permitted. Roller blades, skateboards and pets other than certified service dogs are not allowed. Registration fees do not count toward fundraising totals and donations may be accepted after the event for a limited period. Refunds are not provided but registrations can be transferred to another person. Volunteers and other supporters can contact the event organizer for more information and assistance.
