Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Huntington Beach, CA
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Huntington Beach is a community event held on September 19, 2026, to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and to support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) open to runners and walkers, including participants using strollers and wheelchairs; those with strollers are asked to start toward the back. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are permitted for those who choose to run in them.
Packet pick-up is available on the morning of the event beginning at 7:00 AM and on the Friday afternoon before the race at Mama's Restaurant in Huntington Beach. Day-of registration opens at 7:00 AM at Main Beach. Registrations are offered in multiple categories with associated fees: Adult ($25), First Responders & Military ($20), Youth 13–17 ($10), Child 12 & under ($5), and JPMorganChase Employees (free).
Logistics include street parking across from the beach parking lot (on-site Main Beach parking may incur a city fee), water at the start and finish areas, and plans for on-site EMS. Bibs must be worn visibly on the front; participants without bibs will not be permitted to finish. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in men/women and boys/girls under 18, plus top first responders running in turnout gear. Fundraising is supported; registration fees do not count toward fundraising goals. Donations will be accepted for six weeks after the event and offline donations can be mailed to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
