Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Huntington Beach, CA
This event takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Main Beach in Huntington Beach, California. It is the first annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Huntington Beach and is held to honor first responders, remember the events of September 11, 2001, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and participants may run or walk. Registration categories include adult ($25), first responders and military ($20), youth ages 13 to 17 ($10), and children 12 and under ($5). Same-day registration is available on the morning of the event at Main Beach. Packet pick up will be offered on the morning of the event and at a pre-event location to be announced.
Race shirts are available to registrants and to guarantee a shirt registrants should register by August 31, 2026. Bibs must be displayed on the front of the outermost garment; participants without a bib will not be permitted to finish. Award medals will be given to the top three men and women, top three boys and girls under 18, and the top three first responders running in turnout gear.
Water will be provided at the start and finish areas. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted with a request that stroller users start toward the back. An EMS team is planned to be on site. Street parking is available near the beach and on-site parking at Main Beach may be subject to city fees.
Fundraising is supported for registered participants, the registration fee does not count toward fundraising totals, and donations will be accepted for six weeks after the event.
