California Dreamin' Evening 5K
The California Dreamin' Evening 5K is a running event held on September 17, 2026 in Long Beach, California. The race distance is 5K on an out-and-back course that follows the beach boardwalk alongside the sand and surf. The start area is by the Belmont Brewing Company at the start of Veterans' Pier and the course heads out on the beach path for the 5K.
Entry requires a fee of $25.00 and includes a CALIFORNIA finishers medal that features state highlights, glitter accents, and a surfing bear motif. In addition to the finishers medal, awards are given to the top three finishers in the male and female divisions and to the top three in a stroller division.
Walking the course is permitted. Participants are asked to be able to finish within one hour, approximately a 19:30 pace. Results will be posted online within 36 hours of the event. The event counts toward Century Club totals for members of AREC.
