Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - McDonough, GA
This event takes place on September 12, 2026 in McDonough, Georgia at the McDonough Police Department, 50 Lawrenceville Street. It is the fourth year the event is held in McDonough. The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) that combines a run and a walk to honor first responders, remember September 11, 2001, and raise funds for Tunnel to Towers programs. Registration categories and fees listed by the organizer include adult registration for $25, first responders and military for $20, youth ages 13 to 17 for $10, and children 12 and under for $5.
Packet pickup is available at NewSole Running, 20 Macon Street, McDonough GA 30253 from 10:30 AM to 6 PM, and packets can also be picked up at the race location on the 7th. Day of registration opens at 7:00 AM and late registrants may not receive a shirt or preferred sizes. Participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment. Water will be available along the route and at the start and finish. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted. The event provides on-site Emergency Medical Service support and radio communication on course. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising totals; donations are accepted for six weeks after the event.
