First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K
RELIF, in collaboration with Next Step Counseling, LLC, presents the 4th annual First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K in McDonough, Georgia on 09/26/2026. The event is held consecutively with National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day and focuses on mental health, physical wellness and community policing.
The event is a family-friendly run/walk featuring live entertainment, a mental health fair, and an expert-led fitness warm up. Proceeds support training and counseling services for first responders and their families. The event runs rain or shine and includes a virtual option if on-site conditions are deemed unsafe. The event is non refundable and race day registration accepts cashless payment only.
Participants receive a Relif swag bag. A group warm up and space for post-race stretching are provided. Walkers are asked to keep to the right so runners may pass on the left. Timed bibs are available for those who want official timing. The course is USATF certified and qualifies for the Peachtree Road Race. Team discounts apply for groups of three at registration.
Race rules require check in and mandatory race number pickup on race day with a government issued photo ID that matches the registered name; minors accompanied by a registered adult do not need ID. No weapons are allowed on the property. Outside water is permitted and water will be provided. Service animals required under the ADA are allowed.
