First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K
The First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K is a community run/walk held on September 26, 2026 in Locust Grove, Georgia at 4200 Strong Rock Parkway. The event is organized by RELIF in collaboration with Next Step Counseling, LLC and is the fourth annual edition held consecutively with National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day. It emphasizes mental health, physical wellness and community policing.
The event program includes live entertainment, a mental health fair, an expert fitness warm up, and a group warm up and stretch before the start. All participants receive a Relif swag bag. Timed bibs are available and the course is listed as a USATF certified 5K and Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Community partners and vendors will be onsite.
The event is rain or shine and will switch to a virtual option only if unsafe conditions arise. The event is non refundable and race day registration accepts cashless payment options only. A virtual race option allows participants to complete the 5K on their own time and submit results and photos via the registration site. Public parking is available at the race site and transportation is not provided.
Notable race rules and notes: participants must show a government issued photo ID at check in unless a minor is accompanied by a registered adult; no weapons are allowed on the property; outside water is permitted and water will be provided; only officially designated service animals are allowed; items left on site are at the owner’s risk. Organizers reserve the right to exclude or remove participants for rule violations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
