The First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K is the fourth annual run/walk organized by RELIF in collaboration with Next Step Counseling, LLC. It takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 4200 Strong Rock Parkway, Locust Grove, GA 30248. The event is held consecutively with National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day and focuses on mental health and wellness for first responders. The main distance is 5K. Entry price is $25, with a discount for participants 12 and under. Registration opens June 2, 2026. Event proceeds support training and counseling for first responders and their families. The event is rain or shine and will move to a virtual option only if unsafe conditions arise.
Logistics and rules
Participants receive a Relif swag bag and can join a group warm up before the start. Timed bibs are available. The course is USATF certified and serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Walkers are asked to keep to the right and allow runners to pass on the left. Race day registration is offered via cashless payment only. Check-in requires a government-issued photo ID matching the registered name; minors accompanied by a registered adult do not need ID. No weapons are allowed on site. Outside water is permitted and water will be provided. Public parking is available; transportation to the event is not provided. A virtual option allows participants to complete the 5K on their own and submit results and photos via the race registration website.
