Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Bridgeport, CT
The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in Bridgeport is a memorial 5K (3.1 miles) run and walk held on October 17, 2026. The main gathering location is Ellsworth Park at 166 Brewster Street and the finish line and post race area are at Port 5 National Association of Naval Veterans at 69 Brewster Street.
The event supports the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and honors the sacrifice of a firefighter who died on September 11, 2001. Participants may run or walk the 5K. The event is timed and all participants must display their bib on the front of their outermost garment; those without a bib will not be allowed to finish.
Registration opens April 29, 2026 and fees vary by category. Categories listed include Town Fair Tire Academy entries provided by the foundation at no fee, adult registration, first responder and military registration, youth registration for ages 13 to 17, and child registration for ages 12 and under. Packet pickup is available at Port 5 Club on the days before the event and on the morning of the event.
A water station is available along the route and water is provided at the start and finish with limited water at the start. Strollers, wheelchairs, and backpacks are permitted; roller blades, bicycles, and pets are not allowed. Registration includes an event T shirt although shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants.
