The 39th Bigelow Tea Community Challenge
The 39th Bigelow Tea Community Challenge takes place on September 27, 2026 at Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, 385 Center St., Southport, CT 06890, US. The event brings together in-person and virtual running and walking options.
Event distances and formats:
- 5k Run
- 3k Walk
- Kids' Fun Run (open to ages 10 and under)
- Virtual Adult Run/Walk
Registration includes the 39th annual BTCC T-shirt, a heavy goodie bag with items from local and sustainable partners, and a raffle ticket for post-event giveaways; winners must be present to claim prizes. Additional prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group for running participants only.
Last year participants and sponsors raised over $182,000 for Fairfield County local non profit organizations. Race management is provided by MS Running Productions and timing services for the 5k are provided by The Last Mile Racing.
Pre-event check in and bib pick up are available at Bigelow Tea in Fairfield. Parking is available in designated lots and at nearby train stations; some church lots are restricted and there is no parking on the course route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
