Tunbridge Wells NPT 5k
The Tunbridge Wells NPT 5k is a community running session hosted by female officers from the Kent Police Tunbridge Wells Neighbourhood Policing Team. The event aims to help women feel safer running together after dark while fostering a supportive local community.
Officers run alongside participants to provide company and to create opportunities for connection, exercise, and discussion of personal safety in a group setting. The meeting point is the grassed area outside St Pauls Church on Rusthall Road, and the route covers approximately 5 km around Rusthall and Langton Green. The event takes place monthly during the winter months and during darker evenings.
The session is open to people with different running experience, from those starting out to more experienced runners. It is described as a group run rather than a timed or competitive race. Participants are asked to wear hi‑vis clothing and, if possible, a head or chest torch to increase visibility during evening conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
