Crowborough 10k & 5k
The Crowborough 10k & 5k are annual road races organised by Crowborough Runners and held at Beacon Academy, North Beeches Road, Crowborough, East Sussex, TN6 2AS. The event has run for over thirty years and the 10k forms part of the Sussex Grand Prix. The 5k is a more recent addition.
Both races start together. The 10 km is run over two laps and the 5 km over one lap. The course is tarmac, uses local lanes around the town, and includes road closures. Multiple reports describe the route as hilly. The course is described as accurately measured.
Race day facilities include a main hall used as Race HQ, bespoke medals for finishers, trophies and prizes for leading runners, and cakes available at the finish. Organisers say event information will be sent to all registered entrants before race day.
On-the-day entry, if available, is listed as £25 for the 10k and £20 for the 5k. Parking at the venue is limited, there are no parking facilities at the finish, and competitors are asked to use the provided car parks and follow marshal instructions; car sharing is recommended.
