Event Overview
The Crowborough 10k & 5k is an established running event in East Sussex hosted by the Crowborough Runners. With a history spanning over 30 years, the event takes place on a tarmac course and features road closures. The 10k distance is recognized as part of the Sussex Grand Prix.
The race starts and finishes at Beacon Academy in Crowborough. Participants run through the lanes surrounding the town on an accurately measured course. Both distances begin at the same time, following a lap-based format.
Distances
- 10 km: A two-lap course open to runners aged 15 and over.
- 5 km: A single-lap course open to runners aged 11 and over.
Route and Race Details
The course is characterized by its hilly terrain and follows a route through local lanes. While both races share the same start time, the 5 km consists of one circuit, whereas the 10 km requires two full laps. Race Headquarters is located in the main hall of Beacon Academy.
Every finisher receives a bespoke medal and access to cakes at the finish line. Trophies and prizes are awarded to leading runners. Limited parking is available at the venue; however, there are no parking facilities located directly at the finish line. Event information is provided to all registered participants before the race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
