Tulip Time Run
The Tulip Time Run takes place in Holland, Michigan, offering a variety of road races and fun runs through the community's historic downtown area. The event coincides with the local tulip bloom, providing routes that pass through tulip-lined streets. Participants can choose from several in-person distances or participate via a virtual option.
The available distances include:
- 10K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1K Kids' Dash
- 0.5K Wooden Shoe Shuffle
The 10K and 5K events follow specific course etiquette, with 10K participants required to stay to the right and 5K participants to the left. While strollers are discouraged, those using them must start at the back of the pack. Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, and pets are prohibited on the course. All registered finishers in these categories receive a medal and post-event refreshments.
The Kids' Dash is a non-competitive out-and-back event on Kollen Park Drive for children aged 8 and under. It is untimed, and parents are permitted to accompany their children without separate registration. For those seeking a novelty event, the Wooden Shoe Shuffle is an untimed 0.5K out-and-back walk or run where participants wear traditional wooden shoes. Finishers of the shuffle receive a commemorative pin. Virtual options for the 5K and 10K allow participants to complete their chosen distance on any course, with medals and bibs mailed out following the conclusion of the festival.
