Holland Turkey Trot 5K
The Holland Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in downtown Holland, Michigan, with a start/finish area on E 8th Street between Central Ave and College Ave (2 E 8th Street, Holland, MI 49423). The race is professionally timed by Epic Race Timing. All participants receive a custom Holland Turkey Trot T-shirt and a finisher medal. Age group and overall awards are presented, with a downtown awards ceremony immediately following the race. A portion of proceeds benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland. The 2025 event drew 1,245 runners.
The course begins on 8th Street, proceeds onto Central Ave and E 7th Street, then follows Lincoln Ave into Windmill Island Gardens, running within five feet of the historic De Zwaan Windmill before returning via Lincoln Ave and finishing on E 8th Street through three blocks of downtown shops and spectators. Live announcing and entertainment are part of the event, and the atmosphere includes family-friendly features and photo opportunities.
Registration opens June 30, 2026 and closes July 30, 2026. Packet pickup details for 2026 are to be determined. Attendees are encouraged to carpool and use designated public parking such as the Holland Civic Center lots. Note that 7th and 8th Street will be closed for the race, public restrooms and porta potties will be available on Central Ave between 8th and 9th, and the Windmill Island path will not be plowed, so participants run that section at their own risk.
