Holland Turkey Trot 5K
The Holland Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in downtown Holland, Michigan. The race starts and finishes on East 8th Street between Central Avenue and College Avenue and follows a loop through nearby streets and Windmill Island Gardens.
The course route includes Central Avenue, East 7th Street, Lincoln Avenue, entry onto Windmill Island Gardens where runners pass within five feet of the historic De Zwaan windmill, and a return along Lincoln Avenue to finish on East 8th Street. The organizer notes that the path on Windmill Island will not be plowed if there is snow and participants run that section at their own risk. Some streets near the course, including 7th and 8th Street, will be closed for the duration of the event. Public restrooms and porta potties will be available on Central Avenue between 8th and 9th, and designated city parking lots are suggested for parking.
Registration opens on June 30, 2026. The fee schedule in the event details lists $35 for early registration, $40 beginning August 1, and $50 beginning November 1. Packet pickup is scheduled at Gazelle Sports in Holland on Tuesday, November 24 (4–7 PM) and Wednesday, November 25 (12–4 PM); there is no day of race registration or packet pickup.
