Event Overview

The Skagit Valley Tulip Run is the 40th annual running event in 2026. It is organized by Skagit Runners and takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event is located at the True North Bakery at the Port of Skagit in Burlington, Washington, near the Skagit Regional Airport. The race location is noted as being about four miles north of the tulip fields, and there are no visible tulip fields on the run course.

Distances

Participants can choose from three distances:

  • 2 Mile
  • 5K
  • 10K

Registration and Fees

Registration is available online and on the day of the race, with day-of-race fees increasing by $10. Standard registration fees are $30 for the 2 Mile and 5K, and $40 for the 10K. Automatic discounts are offered for participants aged 18 or younger and 70 or older. A discount code is also available for active duty military, veterans, and first responders.

Event Details

The event uses chip timing for all races. For participants registered by 12 p.m. on April 16, pre-race packet pickup is held at the Skagit Running Company store in Mount Vernon on Thursday, April 16. Day-of-race packet pickup begins at the True North Bakery. Every pre-registered participant receives a finisher's medal (for the first 400 participants), and special awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each race. A race shirt is available for purchase during registration.

Parking

Parking is available at the True North Bakery and Port of Skagit, but space is limited and can fill up. Volunteers will direct overflow parking to other areas within the Port, and carpooling is suggested. Participants are advised they may need to park some distance away and walk to the start line.
