Tuff Tornado Run
The Eighth Annual Tuff Tornado Run takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Alameda Park, with participants gathering near the Odd Fellows Shelter. The event is a community mud run organized by The Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, Inc. and will occur rain or shine.
The course is a two mile run that includes 22 obstacles and finishes in a mud pit. Music is played before each wave of runners and there will be food trucks on site. Restrooms are available throughout the park. The race will be chip timed by Miles of Smiles Timing. T-shirts are provided to registrants who register before September 6, and shirts will also be available for sale at the event.
Registration options and fees are offered in advance and on race day. Pre-registration fees are $15 for ages 5 to 12, $20 for ages 13 and older, and $50 for a family of up to six members. On-site registration accepts cash or check; fees for on-site registration are $20 for ages 5 to 12, $25 for ages 13 and older, and $55 for a family of up to six members. Team sign-up is available through the registration process and teams registering on race day must register all members together. Packet pickup is available on race day.
Proceeds support foundation programs such as Creative Teaching Grants, a Kids Weekend Backpack Program, scholarships for graduating seniors with financial need, and technology purchases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
