The Reindeer Race

The Reindeer Race is a seasonal community running event held on East Beaver Street in Zelienople, PA, with parking available at Zelienople Community Park (402 Beaver Street, Zelienople, PA 16063). The event offers several individual race options and combined entries, and also includes family registration options.

Distances offered include:

• 3.1 miles (5K)
• 1 mile
• 1/2 mile
• 4.1 miles (5K and 1 mile combined)
• 4.6 miles (run all three races combined)

The 5K and the 1 mile award youth scholarships to top boys and girls in two age groups: 12 and under, and 13 to 18. Each scholarship is valued at $250; the event indicates a total of $2,000 in Get Fit Families Summer Camp scholarships. A short fun run for younger athletes is also part of the schedule.

Registration opens in late September and closes on dates between October and December, depending on the entry; entry fees vary by event and by family options. Family registration requires completing the lead family member's registration and providing the names of the other family participants to the organizer.
