Tuesdays In The Park Ice Cream 5K and Kids Fun Run : May 26
This event is part of a monthly summer series held on the fourth Tuesday in May through August at Pottstown Riverfront Park, 140 College Drive, Pottstown, PA 19465. The series uses the park and nearby Schuylkill River Heritage Area parking lot.
The program includes a timed 5K race and a free kids mile for children 10 and under. Post-race amenities listed for participants include free ice cream for all runners and complimentary beer for runners aged 21 and over. Awards and prizes are provided: gift certificates for overall male and female winners, age group medals, discount cards, and prizes for all children who take part in the kids run.
Entry fees are provided for individual races and for a multi-race package. Individual pre-registration is shown at $22.50 per race, with a higher fee listed for race day entries. An early-registration package for all four series races is listed at $70, which is about $17.50 per race.
5K divisions are organized by age and sex and include the following groups:
- 5K 12 and under; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and over
- 1 mile Kids fun run, free for ages 10 and under
