About the race
2026 Tuesday Night 5k #8 is a chip timed 5k held at Lake Accotink in Springfield, VA (7500 Accotink Park Rd). Points for this race count toward the Weekday Race Series (one of eight events in 2026) and toward the Year Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series.
The course is a flat, paved out-and-back route around Lake Accotink. One water station is located at approximately mile 1.55, and Gatorade may be available at some stations. Restrooms are located at the top of the hill near the beach. Finishers receive a medal; shirts will not be provided for this event.
Registration information published for the event lists a standard fee of $22 for the 5k, with a $5 increase on race day. Packet pickup is available at the event, and race day registration is offered; participants are advised to arrive approximately one hour before the event for check-in. Live race results will be posted on Athlinks and via a QR code at the race, with final results and series points posted the following Monday. Runner tracking via SMS is available when registering.
