Event overview
The 2026 Tuesday Night 5k #8 is a 5k road race held on October 13 at Lake Accotink in Springfield, VA (7500 Accotink Park Rd). The race is part of the Weekday Race Series (one of eight events in 2026) and also counts toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack series. Walkers are welcome. The event is chip timed and offers a finisher’s medal; event shirts will not be provided.
Logistics and course
The course is a flat, paved out-and-back route from Lake Accotink to Byron Ave. One water station is located at approximately mile 1.55; Gatorade may be available at some stations. Restrooms are located at the top of the hill near the beach. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Registration fee is listed as $22, with a $5 increase on race day.
Live results will be posted online and a QR code at the race will provide immediate results; final results with series points will be posted the Monday following the event. SMS runner tracking is available during registration. The organizer operates races in all weather but may delay, change, or postpone an event for severe conditions; registrants will be notified by email if changes occur.
