Pumpkin Pacer 5k & 10k
The event offers both a 5 km and a 10 km running option that take place on paved roads through Rock Creek Park. Points earned from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series as well as the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. Walkers and strollers are welcome.

The course is mostly flat with one considerable hill. Water stations are placed along each course; the 10 km course has five stations at approximate mile markers 0.6, 2.5, 3.1, 3.7, and 5.6, and the 5 km course has two stations at about 0.6 and 2.5. Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located across from the Tennis Center. Packet pickup is available at the event and there is no on site race registration.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and a chip timed result. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and a QR code will provide immediate race results on site. Final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in each age group category.
