This event is the fifth race in a weekday race series and awards points toward the Weekday Race Series (1 of 8 events in 2026), plus the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack series. The race takes place at Wakefield Park in Annandale, VA. The listed distance is 5k. Walkers are welcome.
Course and event details
The course runs from Wakefield Park to Americana Park and is mostly paved with a short section of grass and limited elevation gain. One water station is placed at approximately mile 1.55 and some stations may offer Gatorade. Restrooms are available in the recreation center.
The event is chip timed and provides a finisher’s medal; shirts will not be provided. Packet pickup is available at the event, and race day registration is offered with a fee increase on race day. Standard registration fee for the 5k is $22; price increases by $5 on race day. Live results are posted online with a QR code at the race, and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event. Photos taken by staff are posted after the event. Parking is available at Wakefield Park (latitude 38.818273, longitude -77.223964). The organizer runs events in all weather but may cancel or change plans for severe conditions.
