Bastille Day 5K

The Bastille Day 5K is scheduled for July 14, 2026 at Fletcher's Cove, located on the C&O Canal Towpath in Washington, DC (4940 Canal Rd NW, 20016). The race follows the towpath, which provides a flat course that is often shaded in summer.

This event is an annual DC Road Runners Club tradition and is one of the club's races that takes place during the work week. The single distance offered is a 5K on the towpath surface.

Awards are given to overall top finishers and master's winners. In addition, awards are offered three deep, male and female, in 10-year age groups.

Registration is free for club members and costs $10 for nonmembers. Members will see a $10 discount reflected at checkout. Registration for the 5K opens March 23, 2026 and closes July 13, 2026.
