Tryon Farm 4 Miler/8 Miler/25k/50k and 2 mile Fun Run/Walk
The event is held at Tryon Farm in Michigan City, Indiana. The marked course is a 4-mile loop through the farm and surrounding trails. Longer distances are completed by repeating the loop: the 8 miler is two loops, the 25k is four loops, and the 50k is eight loops. A separate 2 mile Fun Run/Walk is also offered.
Distances:
- 2 mile Fun Run/Walk
- 4 mile Trail run
- 8 mile Trail run
- 25k Trail run
- 50k Trail run
The surface mixes open grassy fields, single-track dirt trails, and very small sections of pavement used to connect parts of the trail system. Main aid is located at the start/finish area, with a non-manned water and Gatorade station near the 1.5-mile mark. Two port-a-potties are available at the main station; there are no bathrooms on the course. Participants are asked to wear their bib on the front of the shirt for loop counting.
Because there is no parking at the start/finish, participants will park across the street at Head Start of LaPorte County, 811 Royal Rd, and walk to the venue. The event benefits the Tryon Farm Institute. It is part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which promotes mixed surface races in the Northwest Indiana region and states an inclusive registration policy. The series also provides a land acknowledgement for the area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
