Tryon Farm 4 Miler, 8 Miler, 25k, 50k and 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk
This event is held at Tryon Farm in Michigan City, Indiana, and uses a 4 mile loop through the property. The 8 miler is two loops, the 25k is four loops, and the 50k is eight loops. A non-competitive 2 mile fun run or walk is also offered.
The course surface is a mix of open grassy fields, single track dirt trails, and very small sections of pavement used to reach other parts of the trail system. The main station is located at the start and finish area. There is a non-manned water and Gatorade aid station near the 1.5 mile mark. Two port-a-potties are provided at the main station and there are no bathrooms on the course. Participants should wear their bib on the front of their shirt for loop counting.
There is no parking at the start and finish area. Parking is arranged across the street at Head Start of Laporte County at 811 Royal Road in Michigan City, and participants walk from there to the event site.
The event benefits the Tryon Farm Institute. It is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series, which promotes non-pavement and pavement races in northwest Indiana and states an inclusivity policy and a land acknowledgement for the area used.
