Truth or Consequences
Truth or Consequences is a trail running and hiking event held in Serpentine NP. The event features multiple courses on remote trails, including the Kitty Gorge trail, with distances categorized by difficulty and experience levels. Participants encounter drummers and waterfalls along the route.
The event village includes a start and finish area, food trucks, and public BBQ facilities. The course is marked by the organizers to guide participants throughout the trail sections.
Participants can choose from five different course categories:
- Green: 5-7 km course intended for walking or running.
- Blue: 10-15 km course for those capable of running most road distances.
- Black: 20-25 km course for experienced trail runners and adventurers.
- Black (Hike): 20-25 km course specifically for those who prefer to hike the distance.
- Double Black: Distances up to 50 km for experienced runners.
Registration remains open until the Tuesday before the event, provided it has not sold out. All event bibs are collected on race day at the start and finish area. There are specific age requirements for younger participants. Children must be at least 6 years old for the Green course, 12 years old for the Blue course, and 16 years old for the Black course. Participants under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
