Event Overview
The Stepahead Podiatry SuperSprint Triathlon is part of the Rockingham Triathlon Club's summer series. Held at the Rockingham foreshore, the event utilizes the local beach and road infrastructure for a multi-sport competition. The transition area and event hub are located at the Alexander Street car park on Rockingham Beach Road.
Course Details
The competition features a swim in the shallow, flat waters of Rockingham beach. The bike course consists of multiple laps on the flat Rockingham Beach Road, which is closed to general traffic during the event. The run leg takes place on the foreshore footpath, offering views of the ocean and natural bushland.
Available Distances
Participants can choose from several categories and formats:
- Enticer: 150 m swim (1 lap), 10 km bike (3 laps), and 1.5 km run (1 lap).
- Sprint Distance: 300 m swim (1 lap), 15 km bike (5 laps), and 3 km run (2 laps).
- Duathlon: 1.5 km run (1 lap), 15 km bike (5 laps), and 3 km run (2 laps).
- AquaBike: 300 m swim (1 lap) and 15 km bike (5 laps).
Participation Information
The event is open to club members and the wider triathlon community. All registrations must be completed online prior to the Friday before the race. A dedicated Kids Triathlon is also held as part of the series. The race is sanctioned by Triathlon Australia, and participants must follow standard competition rules, including the use of helmets during the bike leg and wearing a timing chip on the left ankle.
