Event overview
The 26.TRUE Marathon & Half Marathon is a community road running event in Boston, MA, held on April 18, 2026. The event offers a half marathon and a full marathon run on a measured loop course entirely within the city limits. The event is unsanctioned, with no road closures; runners share sidewalks and public ways, yield to traffic, and participate at their own risk. Course marshals, bike support, and ten staffed cheer zones will be on course.
Course and logistics
The course is a 13.1 mile loop that passes through Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Dorchester, Mattapan, and Franklin Park. The loop route begins and ends at Malcolm X Park at the corner of Washington Street and Dale Street. Runners complete the loop once for the half marathon and twice for the full marathon. Cheer zones are located approximately every 2-3 miles and provide water, electrolytes, fuel, basic first aid items, and on-course support. Portable toilets will be available at the start/finish and at the post-run block party, with additional bathroom access planned every 3-4 miles. There is no official cutoff time for finishers.
Registration and participant services
Registration for the event was listed as sold out with a waitlist option. Runner registration includes a souvenir bib, a custom finisher’s medal and jacket, a swag bag, a training plan (coming soon), one meal ticket, and one drink ticket. A post-run block party is planned with food, drinks, DJs, and recovery stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
