Event Overview
The 26.TRUE Marathon and Half Marathon is an event designed to celebrate the diverse neighborhoods and communities of Boston. It emphasizes inclusion and accessibility over speed and competition. The event takes place entirely within the city limits of Boston, Massachusetts, using an open-course format on public sidewalks.
The Route
The course is a 13.1-mile loop that starts and finishes at Malcolm X Park in the Roxbury neighborhood. Runners will pass through Franklin Park, Jamaica Plain, the SW Corridor Park, Roxbury Crossing, Nubian Square, along Blue Hill Avenue, around Harambee Park, and briefly into the Mattapan area. The half marathon is one loop, and the full marathon is two loops of the same course. The route is not closed to traffic; runners must follow pedestrian rules, stop at lights, and yield to cars.
On-Course Support
The event features "Cheer Zones" approximately every 2-3 miles. These provide water, electrolytes, fuel, snacks, first aid, and encouragement. Course marshals, mile markers, arrows, and bike support riders are also present to help guide participants.
Registration Details
Runner registration includes entry, a souvenir bib, a finisher's medal, a finisher's jacket, a swag bag from sponsors, and one meal and drink ticket. The course is open to all runners and has no time cutoff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
