Event information

The 26.TRUE Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on April 18, 2026, at Malcolm X Park, Dale Street, Boston, MA. The event offers two distances:

  • 13.1 miles (one loop)
  • 26.2 miles (two loops)

Runner registration includes a souvenir bib, a custom finisher medal, a custom finisher jacket, a training plan designed by local certified run coaches (beginner and intermediate levels - coming soon), a swag bag with sponsor items, one meal ticket, and one drink ticket. Volunteer registration includes a custom volunteer shirt, one meal ticket, one drink ticket, and snacks.

Registration is non-refundable and the organizers do not permit deferrals or transfers. The half marathon has a waitlist; entrants on the waitlist may be contacted if space becomes available by February 1, 2026.

Course, support and logistics

The course is a 13.1-mile loop through Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Dorchester, and Mattapan, starting and finishing at Malcolm X Park. The route passes through Franklin Park, SW Corridor Park, Roxbury Crossing, Nubian Square, Blue Hill Avenue, and Harambee Park. One loop equals the half marathon; completing the loop twice equals the full marathon.

The event is unsanctioned with no road closures; runners must yield to traffic, obey pedestrian signals, and run at their own risk. There is no cutoff time. Course support includes 10 cheer zones spaced every 2-3 miles with water, electrolytes, fuel, first aid supplies, and bike support; portable toilets will be available at the start and post-run block party and additional facilities are planned every 3-4 miles. The start/finish area is near Washington St. and Dale St., with neighborhood street parking, an upper parking lot on Washington St., MBTA Orange Line access at Jackson Square, and bus service on routes 42 and 44.
