True Grit Trail Half Marathon

True Grit Trail Half Marathon takes place at Bridgend Miniature Railway Centre in Aberkenfig, Tondu, near Bridgend (CF32 0EH). The 13.1-mile route is described as epicly challenging, with mixed terrain, killer hills, a Quarry section known as the Hill of Doom, and a technical downhill forestry trail. Runners pass the Bedford ironworks, tackle the New Quarry and Mount Mayhem sections, then finish after a muddy final stretch.

The fully marked course includes two check points with water and snacks, and a bespoke medal. Organized by Mad Running Junkies, the event offers a friendly atmosphere, parking, toilets, medical support, volunteers, and a capped field of 50 entrants.
