True Grit Trail Half Marathon

True Grit Trail Half Marathon takes place at the Bridgend Miniature Railway Centre in Aberkenfig, Tondu, near Bridgend (CF32 0EH). This 13.1-mile, fully marked trail course blends killer hills, a Quarry section known as “The Hill of Doom,” a technical downhill forestry stretch, and a climb to Mount Mayhem. Runners pass Bedford ironworks and the Celtic Trail around Bedford Park, tackling mud and water in the New Quarry Section before a final flat mile to the finish.

The event, run by Mad Running Junkies, offers a friendly atmosphere, two aid/checkpoints, parking, toilets, medical support, volunteers, and a bespoke medal. Entry is limited to 50 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
