Tromptown Marathon & Half
The event takes place in DeRuyter, New York, with start and finish very near the DeRuyter School gym at 711 Railroad Street. Both races are loop courses and the courses have been newly certified.

- 26.2 Miles Marathon
- 13.1 Miles Half Marathon
The half-marathon follows the same course used for 49 years but has new start and finish lines in front of the school. It passes through parts of three counties and includes a section circling the lake, then leaves the dam area before heading south toward the village.
The marathon uses the first 12.1 miles of the half-marathon course before turning onto its own route that passes through four counties. Around mile 20 runners head northwest and climb a short section referred to as "heartbreak hill." From miles 22 to 25 the course heads west with wide views of three valleys and surrounding hills, and the final mile through the village is level. The marathon is listed as a Boston qualifying course.
Support is provided with liquid stations at two mile intervals or less. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes October 24, 2026. Registration fees listed are $50.00 for the marathon and $35.00 for the half marathon. T-shirts are available for an additional $10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
