Cazenovia Pumpkin Run 5K and Spooky Sprint
The event takes place near Cazenovia High School at 31 Emory Ave in Cazenovia, NY. It comprises two short running events held on the same day: a community 5K road race and a kids 800 meter Spooky Sprint.
The 5K Pumpkin Run begins at the high school and proceeds east on Nickerson Street, then south on Lincklaen Street. After turning onto Seminary Street the route turns north and winds through the village and town, finishing in front of the Middle School. The course follows the same basic path as the Chilly Chili Run.
The Spooky Sprint is an 800 meter run or walk for children of any age, held near the Green by registration. It is free for kids and Halloween costumes are encouraged. Spooky Sprinters may pre-register.
Race fees and extras are specified for each event. The 5K entry fee is $30 and includes a T-shirt for pre-registrations made by October 17. Extra T-shirts are available on the day of the event in limited supply. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Classes of 2030 and 2031.
