Event Overview
The Eaton 5K Run/Walk is a certified and USATF-sanctioned 5K road race in the small town of Eaton, New York. The 2026 edition marks its 29th year. The race is part of the Route 20 Road Challenge Series.
Course & Participation
The course is described as mainly flat with a few rolling hills. It starts and finishes at the Eaton Fire House on Mechanic Street. The event is for runners and walkers, but dogs are not allowed due to liability insurance rules.
Registration & Fees
Registration opens on August 8, 2026. Online registration closes at midnight on October 10, 2026. The advance registration fee is $22.20 (including a $2.20 fee), with a reduced rate of $11.60 for participants aged 12 and under. On race day, registration opens at 8:00 AM and the fee is $25 (or $10 for ages 12 and under).
Awards & Amenities
Trophies are awarded to the overall male and female winners. Ribbons are awarded three deep in various age groupings for both male and female participants. Event t-shirts are given to pre-registered entrants only.
