TriWalloon
TriWalloon is a multisport event held at Walloon Lake in Walloon Village, Michigan, between Petoskey and Boyne City. The event program includes a sprint triathlon, sprint relay, sprint aquabike, and sprint duathlon, plus weight-category divisions for Athena (female 165+ lbs.) and Clydesdale (male 220+ lbs.).
The swim is a 600 Meter triangular course that starts and finishes at the docks of Legacy Marina. The transition area is located immediately out of the water in the park next to Barrel Back Restaurant. The bike course is a 12.4 mile out-and-back route along country roads on the south side of Walloon Lake. The run is a two-loop course through Walloon Lake Township with a finish back at the park beside Legacy Marina.
Event-specific formats are: the duathlon starts with one loop of the run course, followed by the bike, and finishes with the full two-loop run; the aquabike follows the 600 Meter swim and ends after the bike course. Relay teams are allowed and male, female, and coed teams are accepted.
Packet pickup and transition area procedures, body marking, athlete items provided, refund and deferral policies, and safety procedures are organized by the event. One hundred percent of race proceeds support the inner-city ministry of Bridge Street Ministries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
