TriWalloon
TriWalloon is a multisport event held on July 18, 2026, at Walloon Lake in Walloon Village, Michigan, located between Petoskey and Boyne City. The program includes a sprint triathlon, a duathlon, an aquabike, and relay entries. Relay teams may be male, female, or co-ed.
Event distances and formats include:
- Sprint Triathlon: Swim 600 meters, Bike 20k, Run 5k.
- Sprint Relay: team version of the sprint triathlon.
- Sprint Aquabike: Swim 600 meters, Bike 20k.
- Sprint Duathlon: Run 2.5k, Bike 20k, Run 5k.
The swim uses a 600 meter triangular course that starts and finishes at the docks of Legacy Marina. The transition area is in the park next to Barrel Back Restaurant. The bike course is a 12.4 mile out-and-back route along country roads on the south side of Walloon Lake. The run is a two-loop course through Walloon Lake Township with a finish at the park beside Legacy Marina.
Athena and Clydesdale categories are offered as weight classifications: Athena for women 165 pounds and over, and Clydesdale for men 220 pounds and over; awards are given for first through third in those categories and are based on an honor system.
One hundred percent of event proceeds go toward the inner city ministry of Bridge Street Ministries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
