Event Overview
The TriRidgefield and DuRidgefield events take place in Ridgefield, Connecticut, featuring a course that travels through the local countryside. Established in 2007, this multisport event offers options for both triathletes and duathletes starting from Great Pond Road. The competition utilizes the natural landscape of the area, including the local waters and rolling roads.
Course Details
Participants can choose from three distinct entry categories based on their preferred disciplines:
- TriRidgefield - Individual: A half-mile swim in Great Pond, a 13-mile bike ride, and a 5k run.
- TriRidgefield - Relay: Teams complete a half-mile swim, a 13-mile bike ride, and a 5k run.
- DuRidgefield - Individual: A 2-mile run, followed by a 13-mile bike ride, and a final 5k run.
The swim portion of the triathlon occurs in Great Pond. The cycling segment for all participants consists of a 13-mile route on rolling terrain. The final leg of each race is a 5k run that leads to the finish line. Registration includes an event shirt, though availability is only guaranteed for those who register before May 1.
