Triple Lakes Trail Race
The Triple Lakes Trail Race is an established trail event held in Greensboro, North Carolina, taking place at Bur-Mil Park. Celebrating its 20th year, the event features a course that winds through watershed trails surrounding Lake Brandt, Lake Townsend, and Lake Jeanette. The race is part of the North Carolina Trail Mega Medal Series.
Participants can choose from several distances and participation formats:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 26.2 Miles (Marathon)
- 40 Miles (Ultra)
In addition to standard trail running, the event offers specialized categories. Ruckers may participate in the 13.1 Miles or 26.2 Miles distances while carrying a weighted ruck sack or plate carrier; these participants are weighed before the start. Relay options are available for the longer distances, with teams of 2 to 4 runners for the 26.2 Miles and teams of 2 to 8 runners for the 40 Miles. Virtual options are also provided for those unable to attend in person.
The course is designed with clear markings and is supported by positioned aid stations. The rules include generous cut-offs to accommodate various paces. Registration options include an economy tier for those who prefer to participate without receiving a race shirt or finisher's medal. A pacer option is specifically available for the 40 Miles distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
