26th Annual Thanksgiving Tradition
The Greensboro Gobbler takes place in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, at Center City Park. This community event has been held for over 25 years and serves as a local tradition on Thanksgiving morning. The event is open to a wide range of participants, including runners, walkers, families with strollers, and pets.

- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Participant Amenities and Awards
All registered participants receive a long-sleeve performance tech t-shirt and a finisher medal. Those who register before the designated deadline in October are guaranteed their preferred shirt size. The event features an awards ceremony following the races, with cash prizes available for the top male and female finishers in the 5 km category. Specifically, first-place finishers receive $200, while second-place finishers receive $150. A special prize is also awarded for the most festively dressed dog.
Event Atmosphere
The race environment includes various festive elements such as inflatable turkey decorations, a massive inflatable arch, and free dog treats for pets in attendance. Post-race snacks are provided for participants, and free finish line photos are made available to all who finish. The event partners with local charities and sponsors to support the community.
