Trinona - Winona, MN
Trinona takes place June 13-14, 2026 in Winona, Minnesota. Race activities are centered at the Winona Lake Park Bandshell (113 Lake Park Dr). Youth events are held at the Winona Family YMCA (902 Parks Ave).
The race course includes a swim beneath the Sugar Loaf peak in Lake Winona, a country cycling section, and a flat run along Lake Winona that finishes at the Lake Park bandshell.
Event formats offered include Olympic and Sprint triathlons with elite, age group, and relay divisions, two aquabike distances (Olympic and Sprint), a run-bike-run duathlon, and youth triathlons for ages 5 to 15. Packet pickup is available at the Winona Family YMCA for youth events and at the Winona Lake Park Bandshell for the main events.
Age restrictions apply: participants must reach age 18 by 12/31/2026 to enter the Olympic triathlon and Olympic aquabike, and must reach age 13 by 12/31/2026 to enter the Sprint triathlon, duathlon, and Aquabike Sprint distances.
No dogs are allowed on the east half of Lake Park per Winona City Ordinance 36.03. Trinona is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and follows the US Center for Safe Sport policies, including the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
