Trick & Trot Challenge
The Trick & Trot Challenge is a series of themed 5K races held in Cocoa Beach that combines Halloween and Thanksgiving events. The series includes a Halloween-themed race at Cocoa Beach Golf Course and a Thanksgiving-themed race in downtown Cocoa Beach.
The Frightful Fairway 5K takes place at Cocoa Beach Golf Course on October 24. Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and may enter a costume contest. The Cocoa Beach Turkey Trot 5K is scheduled for November 26 in downtown Cocoa Beach and is presented as a festive run before the Thanksgiving meal.
Events listed for the series include an in-person 5K at 5000 Tom Warriner Boulevard in Cocoa Beach and a virtual 5K option. Registration opens on April 24, 2026 and closes on September 6, 2026. The registration fee for the in-person 5K is $50.00 and the fee for the virtual 5K is $60.00. The virtual option allows participants to run one or both races virtually; participants who plan mixed participation are asked to contact the race director.
Proceeds from the races benefit Cocoa Beach Recreation Department Youth Camps, Cocoa Beach High School Cross-Country & Track Teams, and Cocoa Beach High School Key Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
